SHELTER ASSOCIATION INT’L

SHELTER Association was founded in 1993 in Islamabad. It was registered here in Islamabad under societies act of 1860 with Join Stock Companies. Having great scope of work in IT field and backwardness of Azad Jammu & Kashmir was it was subsequently registered with Kashmir Council Secretariat Islamabad under Social Welfare Registration & Control Ordinance, 1961.

SHELTER ASSOCIATION is the pioneer of IT education in Azad Kashmir that is controlled by Pakistan. SHELTER started IT mission in 1993 from Rawalpindi and established first computer college at Waris Khan near thana, then established its office in I-9 Markaz Islamaabd. SHELTER then established computer labs at different government colleges of Rawalpindi including Govt. Commerce College Phagwari, Rawalpindi College of Commerce Peshawar Road Rawalpindi, Govt. Commercial Training Institute Hathi Chowk Sadar and Govt. Waqar un Nissah College for Girls Rawalpindi.

The SHELTER started its Ist computer college at Dhirkot on July 12, 1996. Then on May 10, 1997 the same IT centre was established at Bagh city, Azad Kashmir.
